The collection "Resan" (The journey) is my sixth wallpaper collection together with Midbec Wallpapers.
"The journey – being on the way to somewhere, fantasising about other places, wishing yourself to some faraway destination or making your way home. The discovery of new worlds and landscapes. As children, journeys broaden our horizons and let us take a step into a new world. There’s so much to see – why don’t you join us?
In the collection ‘The Journey’, designer Lina Schnaufer has played with the idea of different worlds and how we get there and back. We take a trip around the world, sail stormy seas, ride trains over rolling green hills, fly south with migrating birds, wander through bustling cities, count falling stars and go to the circus.
‘The Journey’ is a wallpaper collection for children and for those who still have a little bit of the child in them. The collection is inspired by the idea that life is a long journey of discovery."

Tåget - The train
"In the children's wallpaper Tåget, translates The Train, we travel over hills and through deep valleys. Exotic plants grow, thunder rumbles over the sea and the sun rises over snow-capped mountains. The little train travels on its journey through changing landscapes."

Havet - The Ocean
"We’ve reached The ocean. It goes on for miles and miles. We step on board a large ship and set sails. I steer and you keep a look out for the lighthouses warm shine. We meet whales that talks about distant lands. In a cove we pick mussels and beautiful shells. Watch out for the jellyfishes! Nights and days pass. Sun and storms. We hold the helm firmly. Land ohoy! Maybe we’ll sail some more, just for the sake of the adventure?"

In my designs you will often find the familiar flora - but with a twist. To find the most interesting lines and expressions I often work without references. To relate only to an inner image of a certain flower or vegetation creates my own interpretation of it, that feels important to me in my work.

Staden - The city
"Come along, let’s take a stroll in the city, in my neighborhood! Walking down the street, peeking at people through the windows. Someone is celebrating a birthday, do you see where? I hear a dog barking and a balloon is about to take off over the roofs. We can come along if you want? But first - let’s get ice cream down at the corner café.
In ”The city” we step into Linas neighborhood and the district Majorna in Gothenburg, Sweden. Here there’s charming ’landshövdingehus’ (old wooden apartment buidnings from the 1870’s - 1940’s), cosy cafés and verdant courtyards."

Cirkus - The Circus
"In the distance we see a light brightening up the sky. We follow it! It’s a circus that pitched its tent. It smells of warm hay, popcorn and strawberries. The tickets are free - everyone is welcome. We’re all creating the circus. Someone can do a handstand. An other is riding a horse. A tiger is jumping through the arena to show something it's been practicing. What shall we do?"
